How hiring works
Five-stage process — brief to onboarded developer in under two weeks.
Brief
You tell us the role — stack, seniority level, hours per week, time-zone requirements, and project context. A one-page brief or a 20-minute call both work. We ask the questions that save time later: team size, codebase maturity, communication style, and how hands-on you want the tech lead to be.
Vetting
We run an internal shortlist against the brief and surface two or three candidates — each with a portfolio, relevant code samples, and a short written summary of why they fit your specific context. No padded profiles, no bait-and-switch. The person in the shortlist is the person who shows up.
Interview
You interview each candidate directly — technical screen, culture fit, whatever your process requires. If you want more signal before committing, we offer a paid 4-hour trial slot: a real task from your backlog, reviewed by our tech lead. You only proceed if you are confident.
Onboard
Contract signed, NDA executed, IP assignment in place — all in a standard engagement doc, no surprises. Tooling access granted, repo permissions set, first sprint planned. Most developers ship their first meaningful commit by the end of week one. Tech-lead check-in is scheduled from day one.
Manage / Replace
